In case anyone has been looking for a gem tang at a somewhat more affordable price; live aquarias divers den has at least 7 at 899.99.

Just figured I'd put that out there for you all!

Yes, I ordered a 1.5” gem tang from DD for 1499.00 and 2 days later they had several for 899.00 was super annoyed. Now they have them all the time for cheap. Oh well!

Seriously. Those fish cost over $1200?

Wow, it cost my wife and I less to bring our first born into the world 20 years ago.

Well, at least with a Gem tang you don’t have to worry about paying for college. And at that price, I doubt there will be more than one in the tank; so no “school” either.

HAHA I saw that bad boy. It was there for 3 weeks or so. Not gonna lie, I was tempted for a hot second but I know that is just crazy.

Holy cow! For a fish? Is it a legal fish; or the last one on earth or something? If it cost that much, it sounds like it is very rare - maybe best left in the ocean to multiply.

I would either have to have lot more disposable dough or a lot more confidence in my reef keeping to basically double the cost of my whole system with a single addition (which has no ‘scrap’ value if things “don’t work out”).

It is an exceedingly rare fish that should probably stay in the ocean! It really is a gorgeous though!
