I recently built myself a new frag tank that measures 48x40x13. It has a canopy on it that allows me to mount 2 xr15 23” off the water. The tank really only has about 11” of water in it and the frags sit another inch off the bottom. My question is, are 2 of these lights centred raised 23” off the water strong enough for this tank or should I get more? What percentage should I be running at? It’s a mix of lps, zoas and acro in the frag tank. So hoping for some insight.

Hard to say. Each XR15 has about a 24”x24” coverage area, so you’d probably cover the middle of the tank well - but not necessarily the top or bottom. 4 would probably give you the best coverage, but you could always start with 2, take some PAR readings and go from there.

ya. I gotta get myself a par meter. Right now all I can do is guess
It’s possibly a pair of XR30s would be enough, but since four XR15s are basically the same price - the latter would give you more coverage and options.

My XR15 is @60 intensity 8-9” off the surface of the water, and PAR right at the surface is about 500; it’s about 200 8” down and around 50-75 at the bottom of the tank. This is through 23.5” of water, mind you.

I’ve got them 23” off the water cranked to 100% lol. Everything looks happy but I need to get my hands on a par meter or just buy the pmk from Neptune
