Got my first two doses of general cure done in my 20 gallon qt 48 hours apart. My question is do I do this for 14 days for full treatment? I have my copper power ppm up to 2.09 and now about to do a 50% w/c with correct copper ppm in new water before being added but just want to make sure I’m doing this right with general cure every 48 hours for 2 weeks for pro active treatment of my new fish.

I mix it with food and focus and feed it for two weeks when QTing new fish.

If you're just treating prophylactically don't follow the instructions on the GC box. Dose the appropriate amount as in the directions, wait 5-7 days, do a 25% WC then dose appropriate amount again. Wait 5-7 days and do another 25% WC. Done. Then you can move onto copper/CP or if those are done already, do a week or 2 observation with no meds.

Are you doing copprr AND GC at the same time? Want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding your post.

Check out QT process by either @Humblefish or @HotRocks .

The second dose after 48 hours is unnecessary:

Dose, wait 5-7 days.
Do 25% water change and then do another dose.
Wait 5-7 days. Do 25% water change. Observe for 10-14 days.

Yes sorry I tried to follow Humblefish on the reef dudes video on QT. The fish were immediately acclimated to 1.0 ppm when I received them in shipment and slowly raised it to 2.0 with copper power over the next few days and everyone is eating and I did my first gc dose after 3 days and then again after 48 hours and I’m here at day 7.
