I know the API recommends doing a dose and then a second one in 48 hours and then repeat in 5-7 days for a total of 4 treatments. Is the second treatment in 48 hours necessary? I know you need to retreat in 5-7 days to catch the eggs that hatch, but if all the adult flukes are killed with the first treatment will the second treatment in 48 hours achieve anything against flukes? is it more for the metro dealing with internal parasites?

Ignore API's dosing instructions. Dose GC the same as you would Prazipro: Dose once, and then 5-7 days later dose again.

If I dose a second time in 7 days do I need to run carbon or anything to take the other dose out? Is it ok to do water changes in between...that's how I've been controlling ammonia.

Praziquantel works very fast. Almost instantly actually. Dose, then after 24 hours you can do whatever you want as far as WCs go.

5-7 days do your second dose, wait 24 hours and you are good to do WCs again.

You definitely want to do at least 25% WC before 2nd dose. Since you are performing WCs to combat ammonia, I'm sure you will have removed enough.

Hey hot rocks. So if i have a 10g QT, just dump one pack? Or 2 packets at once?
API says two packets per treatment.

It should be one packet per treatment (per 10g). You need to do two treatments 5-7 days apart.
