My puffer looks like it has ich so i put him in with my frog fish.I heard anglers aren't good with meds but i searched and can't fing a answer anywhere if general cure is safe.

GC doesn’t take care of Ich. Coppersafe or power is the most effective.

I'm just worried about the angler and gc.So should i do a water change and get something safe for the angler?I heard they are not good with copper.Not enough info on anglers anywhere on the web.I thought gc worked but the person never did say fresh or salt.

Why would you dose General cure if it has no impact on ich eradication

Pull the fish and run copper treatment . Your lucky because this forum has all the info you will ever need about QT

I have always hated the name “general cure”. It’s so misleading & maybe that’s why it’s being used for ich.

so i'm going to treat the big tank and put him back in and do a 25 % water change in the 20 gallon.

Brother I’m confused what your trying to achieve

My fish hasn't acted the same in days.Always hiding and i didn't see him eat in days.Today it looked like grains of salt and he was scratching on the rocks.Now that it's in the little tank i only see 1 what looks like salt and it's eating like crazy and no scratching.I'm confused also.

So if you understand the ich cycle the parasite will burrow in the skin and that’s what is showing the salt like dots .

Then after so many days it falls off most of them and why your seeing 1

But they will multiply! And multiply , and continue eating away at your fish . Eventually the fish may succumb to it. Keyword May

I’d recommend pulling the fish and running copper at therapeutic levels

Don’t be surprised if In 5-7 days your fish has twice the amount of salt like dots
