Hi I have just got myself some reef vitality and it says to dramatically reduce amino acids and colour elements.

I have started dosing RV at 30% of recommended dose to start with on tuesday and satuarday.

At the moment I dose Salifert amino acids 8ml on monday

Fm colour elements on three separate days

Blue & purple 4ml on wednesday
Red & purple 4ml on thursday
Green & Blue 4ml on Friday

You can dose all Color Elements together on the same day. Just make sure that these are not added on the same day with Reef Vitality.

What is your total water volume?

Hi its 200 litres. My main concern was amino acids with the RV.

30% starting dose is okay. You can steadily increase the dose 10%/week.

I feel like there must be a language barrier. There were two questions.
1) aminos
2) color elements
Neither have properly been addressed. If instructions say to dramatically reduce, what does that mean, and why?
The answer/response was "just dose color the same day," that is not a reduction.

The only person for FM that have ever been able to give a good answer regarding products was Claude

The effects of an overdose will depend on the extent of the overdose. If the tank is dosed with a pinch more, nothing bad should result from it. We do have some customers adding a little more than the recommended amount because that is what their tank requires. On the other hand, if one doses a whole pill more, then surely you can get some tissue loss on SPS. That is why we recommend, users start at 50% of the recommended amount and slowly increase the dose every week until you've either seen positive results or reached the recommended amount.
