Generators

The predator is the same unit as the Wen unit. Just a different color.
that's not surprising at all. like I was saying in an earlier post, most of the internal parts are from one factory, the invertor, permanent mag generator and ignition system is all very similar just different names on them.

I have the Wen unit that looks the same as the Predator. Works great. Starts easy. Power output is good. It reaches its limit when I plugged in my Skill worm drive circular saw. Almost stalls the unit. No complaints at all. Highly recommend. Got mine on Amazon for about 400.00 about a year ago.

hey I love my camper and don't care to sleep on the ground anymore, a/c is only used for while sleeping anyways. fyi not getting defensive, haha. I didn't go to the extreme and get the luxury camper with satellite, tv and couch's, its just small enough to keep me outside when its nice and big enough to get out of the rain.

I switched from a tent to hammoc camping years ago.

Nice and light and easy to pack in the jeep

That is a expensive Generator. Its not really large enough to be a usable auto ....

I cant hear my Generator run.. its way out back behind the garage. unless its in my work van for use on a job site someplace.. ohh and the prius might take up more room in the back of my van .. thou not much ..

I bet you a hug that I can find a used Prius in your area cheaper than a 4-stroke 5000w generator. A Prius can sustain itself standing-still nearly a week on 11 gals of gasoline. No oil changes necessary after using it a week or two non-stop 24/7.

The only problem with portable generators is you have to be there to plug them in. What if you are at work or gone for the weekend? I bit the bullet and got the whole house automatic gen. Lots of bucks but the peace of mind is real nice. Where I live we get power outages throughout the year, and sometimes for several days. Peace of mind. . . .

Yeah, I'm thinking the same. My portable/manual transfer switch works well if I am home .... not so well if I am not. I run a pair of the ETM backup batteries in series which buys me some O2 time, but does nothing for temperature. Where I live, no gas service, and it's the big cylinders that have mostly scared me off.
