Do come in so so handy, we have Battery back up also, but dropped power for 6 hours today due to a massive storm, fired up the small generator and got everything going, worked a treat, lifesaver

We had just a 90 minute outage in MN last weekend. I dug our my small Powerhorse generator from Northern Tool right away. It has saved my tanks from cold temps and lack of circulation/oxygen 4 times now. Powerful enough to run my return pumps and heaters. I wouldn’t go without having one on hand.

its amazing how much money people invest in their hobby but dont have one of these on hand, wouldnt go without one
 
A backup power plan should be part of every reef setup.

Yes indeed! Get one before the power goes out though - trying to find/buy a generator after the power has gone out is not a pleasant experience.
