Generic Outlet with Schedule not working

If I create a generic output with a schedule it does not work. If I make the outlet an LED light and give it the same schedule it does work. What am I missing about generic outlets?

If your not pointing to an input for an action then you just set the input count to zero.

LOL, my problem was with the thumbwheel control of the UI. I kept clicking on the 0 and it would not change. So I thought it was fixed for the output type. When you told me to change it I just had to figure out that it was a thumbwheel and drag across it to get it to change.
