Genesis pro water change system at close to 1/2 the new price - 325 shipped. all in great shape, no issues. moved tank and can't use in new location. floats inside bins were preventatively replaced a while ago, work great.

Hands down the best water changer out there - works great, no calibration, just set your gallons and say go - super quiet.

includes:
bins with cables
main unit
4 float boxes with covers
some tubing and couplers (recommend throwing out and using 1/2" PVC)
some suction cups for holders
two float cables WITHOUT floats - hint: use avast pressure switches
one float extension cable

you will need to get yourself:
two floats (your own connected to provided cables or from genesis)
tubing
2 appropriately sized pumps
one 1/2" ball valve

if you want to pickup: located in Jordan NY (west of Syracuse, East of Rochester)

new - $600: http://genesisreefsystems.com/product/renew-pro/

How many gallons are this bins? Only thing that scares me with this are the float sensors, you would think for $600 they would be optical. That way u dont need to worry about snails hanging up the float switch. Im interested. How old is it

bins are a gallon each, you dial in how many gallons you want to change per week and it does it. nice thing is how quiet it is. the replacement DOS is wicked loud but there was no choice in the matter.

about 5 years old, kept away from the sump. unit is well built, one of my friends has a much older one that is just purring away - wouldn't let age bother you on this, just my opinion.

So if i want to switch out a gallon per day i need to fill it up each and every day?

these are fantastic units and very reliable. I ran one for about three years. snail wouldn't be in the bins as water gets pumped into them and they are not in the sump or aquarium.

  1. Depressing the MODE button changes whether the system will perform a water change over the course of a day, a week, or one gallon after another until complete. For example, if you want perform a 24 gallon water change over the course of 24 hours, use the INCREASE and DECREASE buttons until the display reads “24” and then press the MODE button until the indicator next to “DAY” is illuminated. When the START button is depressed the system will start a sequence of 24 one- gallon water changes, with 1 one-gallon water change performed every hour (24 hrs/day divided by 24 gallons). Changing the mode to “WEEK” will stretch the 24 gallon water change over the timespan of one week by performing a one-gallon water change every 7 hours (168 hrs/week divided by 24 gallons). Finally, changing the mode to “CONTINUOUS” and pressing the START button would result in a one-gallon water change followed immediately by another one-gallon water change, for a total of 24 changes. Automatically repeating modes are also entered using the MODE button, and are detailed later in this Installation and Use manual.

You said they only hold 1 gallon. So if i change a gallon per day in my aquarium, i need to fill up those buckets and add 1 gallon per day to them correct? Or i lost?

No gallon buckets pull from your pre mixed Water supply....and dump into a drain or waist collector....I believe from the videos I have seen they are used for staging and measuring the water...they fill and empty on their own...

correct - pumps feed the bins, pumps are controlled by head unit. your choice of how much to change and over what period - continuous, one day, or one week.
