Geo 612x2 Calcium Reactor reviews?

I think this is the reactor that I want for my 90g sps dominant tank, but I would like a to know what regulator everyone would recommend? I was looking at the Carbondoser, but I think I want a dual stage regulator, well built, reliable and will last. I know the planted tank guys build their own and I'm willing to go that route, but would have someone build one for me?
Also, anyone using the new Kamoer peristaltic pump? Any other peristaltic pumps out there beside the spectrapure?

I'm using a masterflex as the feed pump and a nice dual stage regulator. Love that combo.

If it was me, I would go with a CR618 plus a UMC618 if you want a secondary chamber, or along with a Kalk reactor. I maxed out a CR618 in my 75 gallon and ended up having to dose alkalinity and calcium on top of the reactor to keep the alk and calcium up.

But, this was that tank. Definitely SPS dominated.

I have a stainless steel one made by alanle on the other forum turns out he was close to me.

If you’re patient, and into DIY, you could definitely build an Alanle style regulator for less scratch than the CarbonDoser and it’ll last you a lifetime. Here is the latest one I built in all stainless steel. As far as pumps go, I was gonna go with the Kamoer, but since it’s so new with no long term track record, I ended up scoring a practically brand new industrial lab grade, continuous duty, variable speed peristaltic pump, for less than the Kamoer. It’s a Watson Marlow 505u. Everything, both the pump and regulator, was sourced through eBay. Again, if you want to go this route, patience, and a quick trigger finger when the right deal arises will serve you well.

Yeah, I was looking at the WM pumps, I'll keep an eye out for them. I might have someone build a regulator for me, too busy with work right now for diy. If you know a good place to buy or know someone who builds them, I'll check'em out.

Thanks! I sent him a pm before I saw your response, but I'll text him and see what he has? I think the cheapest part will be the reactor and regulator, but the feed pump is another story.

Just ordered a regulator from Alan. He sent pics of what it will look like when completed, top notch for sure. Now to order the Geo and I have a line on a masterflex, so it's coming around quickly. I'm going to get the Geo CR618, then I'll add a second chamber later on, but for now, I just want this thing to get going. Thanks for all of the info reefers!
