Georgia Aquarium

Nice pic's Rev!

I've been a a few times since it opened. I can say its the largest scale aquarium that I have ever been too. I have to admit that I've been a little disappointed in the Coral Reef exhibit, corals for the most part do not appear healthy and thriving.

I haven't been to the TN Aquarium since they opened the second building, hoping to get there this fall.

Thanks everyone! Yea it was pretty awesome besides the reef tank. The fish in the reef tank were amazing though. FAT Achilles tangs swimming everywhere! :D

Great aquarium, we dont have anything that nice in the pacific northwest

We are moving to Seneca, SC, this Fall. It seems to be about 2-3hr drive to Atlanta and I'm sure we'll hit the Aquarium - probably in the Spring. :-)

David, LOVELY pictures - you did a GREAT job. Water clarity was perfect, and you lit your images just right. I've been multiple times and always get excited before I head to Atlanta again. Did you love it, like it, or what?

Honestly I pretty much loved it! LOL! I did however expect it to take a little longer to go through but I am not complaining. Thanks for the compliments!

I had a friend that went there last year and offered extra money to see the filters and behind the scenes. I did the same at seaworld and they let me go in their top secret research room. They were testing coral with different lighting and flow and certain pollutants. It was really cool. Got to see them mix sw in a 100,000 g concrete tank. Had to use a crane to dump the salt in. Got to see their qt.

Well that sounds pretty awesome. Im sure you could just ask though.. I know that Joe the founder and curator of Atlantis aquarium in Riverhead gives behin the scenes tours to any reefer that asks. All you have to do is make an appt. :-)

I will ask for appt then. I think the behind the scenes stuff is as cool as the front.

I have not been there but I am going there before the years up...

Very nice pics
