Geotech doser clock stopped broken help

Can someone with experience with circuit board help me please I have recently bought a used grotech 111ng dosing pump it was working fine until I unplugged it when I plugged it back in the hr and minutes was visible but no seconds present obviously it won't dose now I was reading on the web that someone fixed this problem on another branded doser by connecting to pin together to make it reset and it worked I have no experience with boards so I don't want to risk blowing it up
