My tank has been set up for a month and has completed its cycle and gone through the diatom bloom. A key factor in this was adding established rock and sand from my 20 long. I also used water from my water changes to start this tank. My equipment is:
Tank-5.5 AGA
Lighting- Current USA 2 X 18 Watt T5
Temp- Stealth 50 watts, coralife thermometer
Filtration- Aquaclear 70 power filter w/ filter floss, chemipure elite and 1/2 # of live rock
LR/LS- 5 Pounds of Tonga Branch and 8 pounds of live sand
Stock- 2 nassarius, 4 nano conchs, 4 small ceriths, 2 scarlet hermits
Coral Plans- Mainly palys with some zoas, possibly a few ricordea
Fish- option A: a pair of green banded gobies
option B: 1 green banded goby and a neon blue goby
Inverts- planning to do 3 sexy shrimp in the summer

i have a zoa only biocube and if i were you i would add zero fish (not worth the trouble is such a small tank) also having a lot of nice surface area for the polyps to grow and trying to touch the tank as little as you can. <-----that will be the biggest key.

hope it all works out!

Thank you for the tip, I plan on spacing the frags out all over the tank in hopes they will take off and spread over the branch rock.

how do you like the current t5ho setup?

I love this setup, it puts out little to no heat, the bulbs are bright, and it's very quiet. My last T5 fixture had an annoying buzzing sound and this is great since it's next to my bed.

Looks great man! Can't wait to see it grow and fill in!

I received my package from Marvin a couple hours ago and I cant believe how good everything looks. I received Nuclear Greens, OPE, RPE, GPE, Blues, Mohawks and AOG's. Not everything has opened completely but the coral still pops. The nukes are insane! Heres some teaser pics, more when everything opens.
