Here is a pic of my beach bum and the new jfox outrage monti. The polyps on the outrage retracted a bit because I bumped it on accident before taking the pic.

Pic was taken with my LG G2

I got the beach bum in early Nov at the Pittsburgh swap from Jason. You can see where I fragged it off the plug for the one I sold not too long ago. Its growing quite well.

Do you think they are same species? I'm starting to think not now that I see them side by side.....
Polyps on the beach bum kinda still looking like a mix of blue/green.... Maybe a teal or aqua colour?

The beach bums polyps are baby blue and the outrage has a little darker polyps. I believe they are the same species and Jason told me they were from the same shipment/collection trip

Any thoughts on how it varies from the nautispiral or tricolor palawensis?? Anybody have them all?

Sorry guys came straight from Jason Fox' hand (no he said she said...) @ Lansing Mi swap 2 wks ago. I can see 2 green polyps in the center of JF's mother pic on the vertical aspect of 2 coralite, most noticeable is the one directly about the "a" in signature. I am sure Jason Fox will call me out if I stated any inaccuracies whatsoever regarding this coral or whom I purchased it from

Beach Bum smokes the other bc the yellow/orange is phenomenal! Not to mention a metallic haze over all the colors as mentioned previously.

I also have the RR tricolor Pal. (Aka Unique and Nauti Spital, these are same species either Palowensis or IMO Monti. cebuensis (1:68 Corals of the World) As I have a 12" skeleton I lost after changing flow..simplifies comparison :(

Anyone see the JF Fox Flame acro yet?
Should p/u camera from shop tomorrow and I will get a pic.
Intense Red body yellow tip and coralites! Not sure if he released any other frags than the 3 in Michigan?

Here is my Nauti spiral and I was thinking they are quite similar in structure. Now my iPhone can't pick up the colors as well but there is a bit of pick and orangish as well in here.

Cannot get the colored (or the golden glow as I call it) hues in pic on any of these coral..frustrating

Umm...I'm saying that's a blue polyp rather than green...but I think maybe we're making a mountain out of a mole hill here. blue/green or aqua-colored to one person might be someone else's "green" (someone who is less specific). LOL

I have seen both in person as well...fwiw

I see what you are taking about by that isn't a green polyp that is the green metallic sheen that shows in some areas of the monti
Fwiw. I have both montis. And hybridazn pic does not capture the holographic/metallic orange red that the outrage has to it but I'm sure you saw that on our frag at the Lear swap
