Well, I’d say 2 or 3. The way resin depletes, that number soon goes up if you don’t change stuff.

2 or 3 TDS isn't going in my tank.

I religiously monitor TDS. I have had bad experience in years past with algaes etc from bad water.

to each their own but i would recommend 0 tds to any one

Wrap a rubber glove around it or use a strap wrench. Those ribs are there to be grabbed by a specialty wrench, if you have one that fits go ahead.

It's leaking tds anyway, if you break it while trying to open it so what, if you don't try it's garbage anyway

I don't know, if it doesn't also have a smaller end, probably not, you'd need a smaller version of that

But strap wrenches or gloves work too
