Getting a 40breeder rimless made for me

Hey now. I am so excited. I understand this may seem like overkill, or a rip off, but I’m getting a 40g breeder made for me. I drilled my 40 in the wrong spot and this has been a blessing in disguise.

It’s gonna be rimless, have black vinyl on the back baffle. I’ll have all my holes predrilled except for my return. I’ll drill that out.

I’m so excited. I have to make my deposit tomorrow.

Ps- the cost is double what a regular 40 breeder cost. So it’s not terrible. I just really like this size tank, mostly because I have 3 other tanks to care of so the last thing I want is a tank that’s so small where there’s nothing to it, or too big where I become a slave to it.

Where are you getting the rimless 40b? I’ve been searching for a rimless tank that has the 40b dimensions but only found ones that are lie $400-500.

A LFS has a local glass guy who makes tanks for them. I’m getting it for $320 Canadian.

The name of the place is aquarium illusions in Edmonton.

I’m not honestly sure. I have to go in monday. I’ll know everything then. I’m reallyexcited.

I might hold off on the plywood and just do That part myself as I’d want a laminate veneer.

Yea hopefully its either thicker glass or euro braced. 40b is a great size, but there is a reason most aren't rimless. Be interested to see this!

it’s def got thicker glass that I know. I just don’t know the exact size.

The worst part with a custom tank is waiting for it to be built!

Congrats, I totally get your excitement. I just had a tank custom built myself. I received it about three weeks ago and it was like Christmas for me.

The cost and effort a custom tank takes is well worth it.
