I'm thinking about getting a gig that petco has its just labeled as carpet anemone but the species under it is S. Gig. It looks big and healthy and has very light purple tips. Its the healthiest one I've ever seen in there and I'd hate to see it just waste away. Will it live peacefully with my ritteri in a 90 gallon for a while? When it gets larger I'll rehome it to someone local.

I wouldn't do it. How much does the Ritteri move around? Is it high in your tank? If you don't have a DSB (4+"), it's all moot.

The ritteri has never moved from where it was originally placed. It is over half way up in the tank. My sand bed is 2 inches. I was going to get a Tupperware container and make a deeper sand bed for it. That's if y'all think it won't kill my ritteri.

I wouldn't risk it with the ritteri. It seems like too much of a gamble for me.

I decided the same thing I never even went back to look at it today. When more than one person on here tells me something is probably not a good idea I tend to listen. Thanks guys for the input
