looking at a new tank , i cant decide what dimensions to get(Length,Height,Depth),
i was looking at a
96"x30"x24" 980litre
or
96"x30"x30" 1230litre.
While both tanks would fit the space the 980litre would probably be more practical for it, but im worried i'll find it too restricting on width, & the extra 6" on the wider tank is adding 25% more water for about £100 extra cost which is hard to pass up.

,on a long tank like that is it advisable to have a weir at either end or is one in the middle the normal?

(my current tank is 850litre so it would be an upgrade in volume whichever)

thanks
Dan

I say go as big as you can go but the likelihood of a wet armpit increases. :p
my current tank is 30"high and 48"x42" and the shroud to hide the lights is siliconed on so it couldnt be any more of a pain in the **** , its more that im worried about the 24"width being too tight to get good rockwork in and still leave space for fish too swim, vac'ing the sand and all that. but i'll put this down as 1 vote for the big one :D
