Getting algea off of snails

So, ive battled GHA for awhile.. nothing ever really works, thiugh ill admit my phosphates are up. Anyway, these poor snails here are getting fat with the ample amount of algea to eat, but now their shells are covered to where it flows in the current. So any ideas to clean the algea off the shells? Or just let them be?
