I bought a beautiful Interstellar mushroom and have been trying, for the last month, to get it to attach to a rock. I have it in a small container, with a piece of rock, but so far no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it to attach?
I can’t have it floating around, in the tank, until it finds a place it likes as my Peppermint Shrimp was all over it when I tried this (I’m trying to catch them which is a whole different problem ).
I’m wondering whether it needs a selection of rocks and, as such, needs to be placed in a bigger container? Any ideas greatly received!

I've heard of people treating jawbreaker mushrooms that float off with abx and having them suddenly begin to stick again.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to use antibiotics on a critter that may or may not actually have anything wrong with it.

Have you tried covering the bottom of the container in gravel? Maybe it doesn't like that rock for some reason.

I’ve got the bottom covered with gravel (quite ’coarse’ as I understand ‘fine’ isn’t ideal for this purpose - there’s only one rock though so it doesn’t have much of a choice.

Excuse my ignorance - ‘ABX’ is what?
Sorry, antibiotics. I think people use ciprofloxacin baths. I think if you look for cipro or ciprofloxacin and jawbreaker mushrooms on here, you will find a detailed thread from a reefer who did a series of cipro baths to save a bunch of very nice jawbreakers. I forget who did it or I would tag them here.
