Hey everyone, I am in Cookeville and looking to get back into the hobby after a 5 year departure. Prior to taking a break I have had a 2 JBJ rimless AIO tanks, a JBJ rimless frag tank, a 20 long, and a Deep Blue 80 gallon rimless tank I picked up at Aquatic Critter. We sold our house, started having kids, and built a house during the time off. Life has started to settle down and I decided it was time to get back into reefing. I miss the frag swaps and talking with everyone.
I am setting up a 40 breeder this time around, I also currently have a 40b and a 75 gallon planted tanks.
I am hung up on which lights to get, my current top picks are an 36" (4x39) ATI Sunpower, 2x Maxspect Jump units, or a Maxspect Razor X 150. My goals for the tank will be a softy/gorgonian build with the possibility of a few LPS. Thoughts or experience with either of the LED units? I am open to other recommendations as well.
