Getting back in after 10+ years
So...it has been 7 years since my last reef, and 3.5 years since my last African cichlid tank.
I'm John and I live in upstate new York near Utica. I used to have a bunch of reef and coral tanks but during grad school we kept moving and it made it difficult. I switched over to FW since it was easier, but since we moved back home... cross country... my last fw tank went to a friend's. I'm in the process of renovating the house, and have decided to prepare the room for a reef tank (extra studs, 20A electrical circuits, lightning, plumbing, etc.). I have been doing a lot of research and I see a lot has changed.
I also see the hobby is still very expensive. I look forward to learning a lot from everyone.
