Getting coral today.

How do you think I should position my flow pumps? I arranged three levels of rocks for light. Bottom, middle, and top, is there a general way to design flow so that it just spreads throughout the tank?. I have 2 450s for my 20 gallon. Also. Do new coral need supplementation? Maybe I should just check the big 3 on the first day and then 24 hours later?
