Getting first fish today!

DT is still cycling but I have my QT set up and ready for our first fish! We are planning on getting a pair of clowns. I have pellets for food right now, any recommendations on other essentials to make sure my clowns stay full and happy?
Will be drip acclimating from LFS 1.015 to 1.020 in QT and Over the next couple weeks acclimating to DT 1.025.
temperature is 76-78, have biomedia, power head, bubbler, ammonia badge, and PVC for hiding.
many other recommendations?

I usually don't drip acclimate because I freshwater dip the fish before transferring to qt. I oxygenate fresh rodi water with an airstone. Dip fish for five minutes and look for flukes and toss into qt.

Nice! Congrats on the new system. Sounds good so far, what treatments are you planning for quarantine? For food, your clowns should eat pretty much anything. Pellets work, I feed a lot of mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp sometimes, Arctic copepods often, they won't be picky

I was debating using copper, but thought we might go a more observational route, at least at first. I hate to say I want to be reactionary versus preventive, but I have been somewhat overwhelmed with all of the pre-treatment options for quarantine.

Congrats on the new family member. I may suggest an additional food along with pellet. Pellet is good, I use NLS, but also like a frozen mysis like gab mentioned.

I would definitely feed them mysis or brine shrimp that is soaked in GC and Focus for 2 weeks to help combat any internal parasites. Congrats on the new fish, it is definitely a GREAT day, LOL!!! ;Happy
