Looking on Craigslist an classifieds and wanted to do a 20g nuvo all in one tank for my apartment nothing to big. Saw a 29g biocube with a stand for 175 in good condition wanted to know if you all thought that was worth it or if I should go with the nuvo. Thanks in advance.

yeah as long as its not all scratched up. what lighting? Some people take out the lighting and add LEDs. If you're buying used that will save you in the long run, if you're starting small. Most people upgrade within 6 months lol

I'm going to buy new lights anyway and take the lid off completely and I'm only goin small until I finish college and move into a bigger place.

I would see it in person before you buy just in case but it is not a bad price. If you keep looking you may find a better deal, or an LFS might have some used tanks they could cut you a deal on :)

Also, welcome to R2R!

BAAAD Deal. I found the same thing less then 6 months ago. Now I am addicted and just started dropping money on a 120g....That biocube is a slippery slope! ;)

To @Mombo 's point: I started with a 40 breeder and I am nearly done cycling a replacement 100G :) the itch to go big hits fast, might want to get it over with sooner rather than later!

Yea like I said before I plan on moving within the next year and a half and moving a 29g I can see but a 120 or 200+ that's more work than I think I want lol

I moved a 40 breeder with a 25g sump twice, only lost a few snails. You can do it!

How far was the move? I'm in my last year of college so I'm also thinking about how much more money I'll be making in a year and a half allowing me to make the kind of tank I want. Also pretty sure my move will be at least seven hours away

About an hour in the car, but it took the entire day to break down and move the tank, and then about a day beforehand to make and mix 40 gallons of salt water.

Before you start, put a bunch of marbles in your mouth. Every time you think about getting into the hobby, spit a marble out. When you've lost all your marbles, You're ready. :)
