Getting new 150 gallon and have questions

I'm going to take the plunge and get a 150 gallon. Just a few questions:
Is seaport better than Marineland?
Is there enough room and height under the canopy for led lights? I have a few cats that will be able to jump onto this tank and I don't think glass tops would be smart.
I'm guessing its going to be about 1900lbs, this will be in my living room. We do have a basement and the house was built in 1986. I will be setting it up against the wall close to a corner. Will I have to worry about supporting the floor in the basement? And last one, can three guys pic this up this glass tank with ease? Thanks in advance

Assuming you mean Seapora rather than Seaport, mine is perfectly built. The overflow is ok but nothing special, though I prefer it over the marineland.

At ~200 pounds, I'd think 3 people should be able to move it. "With ease", well that depends on the people

If 3 old ladies can move the 125 and stand, 3 strong men should be good to go for a 150.

Answering the 3 guys part that should be sufficient. Furniture dollies will work a dream until you actually need to lift. As far as supporting the weight, do the joist run parallel or perpendicular to the tank? If perpendicular you should be fine where you are placing the tank in a corner. Just think about weight distribution.

The tank will be across perpendicular on the joists. The main beam is approximately 15 feet from the wall. As you can see in the picture, one of the joists is a double. Whats circled is where the tank will sit

Yes, seapora. I like the look of the black silicone. Actually I didn't pay no mind to the overflows. I have a Marineland drilled 60 cube now so I will pay attention

I'm still on the fence about the top with such a wide tank. I have catified the living room with a walkway and center bridge. It goes all the way around the room making it a difficult decision. This is what I did with my 60 with glass tops. It looks kinds stupid but is functional to keep of the cats. I like the look of canopies, just don't know if I want to deal with the constant lifting

my cat runs and the circle is where I plan on putting the new tank. No direct sunlight, we have a sunroof off the front of the house. As in the picture of the 60 the wood above tank acts as a cat platform and light holder

Can you do a floating canopy? Meaning hang an actual canopy from the ceiling. That way you get a clean look but can also leave space between the canopy and tank

well, I ordered a 150 with dual overflows with new stand and glass tops. I guess I'll make something to hang the lights on and keep the cats off. I'm going to do a glass sump, dry. I can cut glass to customize it, I do stand glass. I'm thinking about a 40 gallon long or should I go bigger? It'll all be in within two weeks, I am so excited

40g can be adequate depending on your needs. If you won't be running a refugium compartment and it can handle the backflow when the power goes out, that's enough.

If you'd like a fuge section, bigger is better
