Ok i'm fixing to drop $180 on some Iwasaki 175watt 15ks and reflectors, is it worth it and do these bulbs last over a year like I have read? any suggestions?

if I had to pick one bulb...Iwasaki is it. I recommend their time tested 6500K to all farmers, but if you are more of display keeper, then the cooler colors are better suited for you most likely.
And yes, they last. Quantum meter and coral growth say so :) Do check yourself (new bulb reading and test 2-3 times per year over time)

Thanks I think I am going to try them. I've researched and really havent found anything negative about them, besides the price.

with Iwasaki's high quality, multi-decade performance record, this one falls under "good things are seldom cheap and cheap things are seldom good" :)
