Getting rid of hitch hikers?

Is there any way to get rid of unwanted hitch hikers (crabs, mantis shrimp) on live rock before it's put in the tank?

Hydrogen peroxide, but you may lose other things. Mantis and most crabs are easy to catch with bottle traps. Quarantine your rock and place a couple bottle traps with food, it should work like a charm

I’m told hyper salinity bybsome of the old timers. Slowly add a solution of high salt to the bucket or bin.
