My tank is getting over run with palys that I can't stand, what's a good way to get rid of them? I keep pulling rocks out and keep finding more and more, so is pulling out all my rock the only option?

I don't have many reefers anywhere close to me, or that might be an option, I've just been rotating rock out until I don't see them anymore.

Worse case scenario if you can't trade them trying injecting them lie you inject aipstasia. We have some palys taking over the dt in my job we just "feed" reef concentrate which is basically kalkwasser.

Well I'm upgrading my tank from a 75 to a 150 in a few weeks, so I'm just rotating fresh rock in to cycle and will use the old rock once I get it cleaned and cycle back into the tank or fuge

Be careful cleaning the rock. After many attempts battling mine I've gotten poisoned with palytoxin too many times to bother with these. I'm getting rid of my rocks that have them, gonna reaquascape, double bag these rocks and send em to the landfill.

Last poisoning was soaking the rock in kalkwasser solution outside, and then pulling the polyps off with forceps. Aerosolized the toxin, almost sent me to er and got my wife sick too. Be careful.

A light acid wash or maybe several washes should take care of them if u like the rocks

i soaked mine in acid for a day or two, bleached for acouple days, soaked in hose water with prime for a couple days, dried for a couple days, then rinsed really good in RO and put in DT.
