Our aquarium is 1 month old. Bought a piece of live rock with a mushroom. Noticed these long worm like centipedes crawling around crevices. Heard they can be a nuisance. We tried a piece of hose with food inside & tied together. Should have probably put on rock not next to. But I thought they were gone & noticed tonight 3 very long ones. Can't grab them. Their fast. Any suggestions please?

Correct, assume you talking a our bristle worms.
Removing rock for treatment or catch them while feeding.
As mentioned there is a trap but some say it works and not so much for others.

I like mine. I don't have many at least not many big ones. A tank full of wrasses keeps them at a low population. They are also a beneficial addition to your clean up crew being detritivores. I also find the macro and micro life just as interesting as the show pieces. Feather duster pods mini brittle stars etcetera
