Getting rid of unwanted zoa's

Does anyone have any experience in getting rid of unwanted zoas. I have a couple colonies that are spreading like wild fire, I've tried slicing them up with a razor and they just grew back. I've hit em up with aiptasia x with the same result. Right now I'm putting some putty on top to cover them up. Anyone one know of a sure fire way to get rid of them?

I have some pale grey and some purple brown ones I don't want anymore. I peeled off what I could then pasted that area of the rock with Mrs wages kalk paste. I turned the flow out of the area and left it for a few days... Palys gone. Still need to hit up a few other areas but the majority of them are gone.

I did save the ones I peeled off for frags if anyone local wants them. I may keep some in the sump as they were really my first coral in the tank.

I threw the rock outside for a week in the snow!

blow torch works well. Just pull the rock out and cook the zoas you dont want. Works when there is something else you want to keep on the rock as well.

That kalk trick sounds good, if I could take the rock out I would definitely torch the rock that sounds fun!
