Getting rid of Xenia

So I have an acro frag thats base is fairly large, it came with xenia attached to it. I've tried taking a knife to them to knock them back but they've come back strong. I've heard of people using animal dewormer stuff (don't remember the name) but I don't want to use that as I have some GSP that I'd like to keep. Any suggestions to help combat them is greatly appreciated.

Just keep scraping it off. Xenia is a beast. It will rise from the dead again and again.
