I had some cyano starting to take over my tank. So I tried Blue Life redcyano rx. Per the instructions I needed to turn off my skimmer. I did all that. Worked great. Cyano gone. Now I'm trying to get my skimmer back up and running and it will not stop over flowing. Why can't I get it running properly?

Sounds like some of the product is still in your tank water. You may need to run carbon in addition to the recommended water changes to pull it all out and get your skimmer running normally again.

I agree the product is still in the water. The skimmer can be run at a really low level or with the pump speed reduced for a few days to prevent overflowing. Water change and carbon will also help.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did a water change after I saw the cyano was dying off. Started running the carbon reactor last night. I'll give the skimmer a try tonight. If it's still not happy I do another water change. Thanks again.
