I have a new tank cycling. I purchased new powerheads for my aquarium and will transfer the old ones to the new setup. I also want to get a bigger protien skimmer for my older tank and transfer the old one also. I have those annoying spirobid snails all over my powerheads and skimmer body and don't won't to introduce them to the new setup. I am currently soaking them in vinegar overnight. Will this kill any of the snails I miss with scrubbing? The protein skimmer I have has areas impossible to get with any kind of brush.

I imagine that would kill them off being in it for so long. Be sure to rinse it all off before going in the tank. It’s smart to take those measures now to hopefully avoid getting them in your display. I dealt with them in my last tank when they came on a frag.

Edit....
Spirorbid not vermetid ;Facepalm I read that as the latter. Yes spirorbid are nowhere near as irritating :D you’ll get them. No worries.

You’re going to get them in the new tank regardless if you scape the equipment. They come naturally
I have had good luck apparently because this last tank I set up was the first time I had those white snails. Funny cause my first tank I had had a bristle worm problem. This tank I have never seen one. I'm praying on a miracle. This time I purchased all dry rock. I plan to inspect my corals better and put new frag discs on them when possible. I'm less worried about the worms all over the rock as I just break them off but having white spots all over everything sucks.

I rinse good but vinegar doesn't worry me. I used to carbon dose with vinegar and put way more in the tank on purpose than would leach in an accident. The worms bother me less than the snails. I break the worms off the rocks. I like my glass clean though.
