How did you guys get started, frags, colonies, what was your first coral, what would you suggest for me in corals for my 30,any other advice pertaining to corals, thanks

agreed all those mentioned w be good for your tank and the type of rock you have/good quality live rock. those corals w do well there. keep an eye out for rotting things as the rock matures on, and remove em occasionally if needed externally

Start with zoas or a duncan or hammer or something easy. My very first coral was a duncan, about two years ago. It came with one head and how has about 13.

Zoas!, I started with GSP and a chalice but for a smaller tank skip the GSP, they are fantastic if you can isolate them on a rock structure. Chalices are wonderful corals too.
