I have two tanks one is a 55 gallon with a 20 gallon sump in need of TLC and the other is a 45 gallon cube tank (will attach pictures later). Anyone have any ideas for what to do with them i want to set up a tank but I dont have a huge budget but I still want to do saltwater tanks.

Tanks:
55 gallon is not drilled
45 gallon cube is

Equipment:
1 kessil A360w light
2 protein skimmers
2 heaters
1 trash return pump that I am going to trash
1 HOB overflow also trash
asorted dry rock

I would go with the 45 gallon as it is pre-drilled and sounds like it will be less work/cost to get it up and running as it is in better shape. Furthermore the "skinny tank" dimensions on a 55 gallon don't translate well to saltwater IMHO. It will also be a little cheaper to setup since it is a smaller tank (ie less rock and sand needed).

Welcome to R2R! I agree with the above.
