There is probably an obvious answer to this, but I don't know what it is. How does one get their tank onto the stand? My estimate is that the tank that I am going to order will weigh about 500 lbs. You can't have your fingers under the edge or you will crush them. Is there is set of tools to use? Do you get some company to move it? What suggestions do people have? Thanks!

Rent suction cups and get a bunch of guys. It keeps your hands out from under the tank and they can be used in conjunction with other support methods.

Also some people used cribbing (i.e. 4x4" or other materials that can hold the weight and be stacked). Repeatedly raise one side and placed more wood until it's just above stand height and then slide the tank onto the stand. Works if there is no crown trim on the stand.

Here's a totally crazy example video on YouTube:
Don't try that at home, but I'm sure some are done this way. I only linked this bad example to show the tanks are NOT extremely delicate, but I wouldn't recommend rough handling.

Here's a more proper material to crib it up.
