GFCI with chiller - is this standard??

Just wondering if chillers / heaters are also supposed to be run with a gfci adaptor?

I only really have GFCI in outlets that can get wet from humidity like in bathrooms.
I reccomend your equipment goes into a nice surge protector and not just a power brick but I definitely would not say a GFCI is standard. No harm in using one though
