Sorry if it his the wrong place to post this question, Mods if you feel this is better in a diffrent thread please feel free to move it.
With that being said, I have came home twice in the matter of 2 weeks with my GFI on my tank tripped. I reset it and it works for a while then trips again.
I dont know where to start on troubleshooting this as I have lots of diffrent things plugged in.
As I was thinking I have a ground probe on the same circuit as the GFI and this possed the question can a little leaky current from a wavemaker that does not have a ground on the plug cause my GFI to trip thru the ground probe?
Also, what are the most common causes of a GFI to trip? Heaters, power heads, return pumps or anything else? Any past experiences?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreicated. It would be alot easier if it just didnt reset and last for a while and acutally tripped right away that way I could rule out diffrent peices of equipment.
Thanks,
Cole
