Thank you for the suggestion. I should try that since these shrimp likes to collect small shells and rubbles. I happened to have a little bit of ARM Coarse left on hand. I can throw them in the display for them.

As a ditch effort I just put a filter sock on the drain this morning. I will see if this is going to help any. Otherwise, I have to think about getting or borrowing a diatom filter.

I used to run a few Magnum 250 and 350's with the polishing cartridge for the worse part of the new sand bed/water introduction (for at least a few days). I think it helped, but it may have been wishful thinking. If I can come up with any other "might possibly do something beneficial' ideas, I'll post again.

Thanks . I thought about Magnum, but I hear that a diatom filter really polishes water well. A lot of old timers used to use diatom filters.
