Gfo/aluminum oxide in reverse osmosis

just curious if its safe to put some gfo and aluminum oxide in my reverse osmosis water to combat silicates? Ive got 10-20ppm coming out and dont use deion resin.

Yes, that will be OK, except that some iron and/or aluminum will dissolve into the water.

Iron wouldnt concern me but aluminum would. I wonder what to do?

Wouldnt iron oxide remove aluminum when using both too? Iirc you said that in your article iron oxide may remove aluminum.

I believe that was suggested by Ehsan of Triton. I do not independently know it to be true.
