Do people run these together? Not in the same reactor but on the same tank. Ive noticed pellets help a lot with nitrate but no so much with phos. I had both running on my last tank but when I added both of these as well as carbon I would wake up to white dead SPS. I am starting a new 150DD cube and am wondering if with the amount of fish I want to keep if Biopellets would be a good addition as well as continuing to run GFO. Hopefully the two will help me reach a ULNS.

You can run them together. I would rely on bio-pellets first and then add a small amount of GFO if you still have P04 issues. Typically though, if you feed the tank and keep the bacteria colonized on the pellets, they should consume both.

What brand of pellets would u recommend? I have only used the WM Ecobak. These did not seem to have an effect on phos but did on nitrates, are there some that seem to take up more phosphates?

I have run WM Ecobak for 3 years and only one time did my phos start to rise. It was after running the same batch of pellets for over a year. I added 40ml additional pellets and the phos dropped within 3 days.
