You don't want to remove ur gfo until your pellets start working or else you will have high po4 by the time they actually start working good in 2 months

Which brand pellets do you use that take two months to colonize? I've monitored mine very closely and at less than two weeks my biopellets were working. Personally I think taking your GFO offline. Letting your levels get to there natural level in the individual tank. Then getting your pellets on line will give you the best gage as to how there working. I let my levels get to almost 0.20 before my reactor went on line. I did this so I would not drop my level to fast and had a solid number to gage its progress with. Within a month my levels hang around 0.05 to 0.10, Depending on how much I feed. Now I only check them weekly and the levels hang around 0.05.
