I am going to get a reactor this weekend. My question is should I get just the single and either mix the GFO and Carbon together, or separate in the same unit. Or buy the dual and run GFO and Carbon separate from each other?

Also how much should I put in there of each one?
I have a 40 breeder with a 20L sump if that helps.

I like the dual reactors so I can adjust each to the flow I want. With gfo you have to be careful with flow as too much will dissolve It and end up In tank. I have more flow through the carbon and gfo barely tumbles. With gfo you want to start out with one tablespoon per 8 gallons and test your phosphates 2 weeks latter before upping the amount. You want to go slow with stuff as not to shock corals.

+1 With dissimilar materials, if they tumble, one will serve to pulverize the other, like a tiny little ball mill or a brass tumbler.

Keep us posted man. Post some pics. And, nice to meet ya. [emoji3]
