I have two reactors...
-- one for Carbon
-- one for GFO

I have a skimmer...

Currently the two pumps going to the reactors are in one chamber of the sump, AFTER the skimmer...

The output of the two reactors is going back into the skimmer chamber. Is that ok?

Or... should the output of the two reactors go to the return pump chamber to go back into the tank?

I have my reactors in the return section so they get the cleanest possible water and do not plug up from debris. The skimmer is in the overflow section so it gets the dirtiest water and and skims the crud out.

Its a mundane difference but it's likely better the way you already have it set up.

I agree that after the skimmer is better, and if you need to make such a decision, I'd put the carbon upstream of the GFO so you do not use up expensive GFO binding organics that can be bound to the carbon.

Some additional info... My sump has four chambers...
1st: filter sock
2nd: skimmer
3rd: two reactors powered by two small pumps
4th: return pump

The output of the two reactors (one Carbon and one GFO) pours back into the 2nd: skimmer chamber.

Mr. Farley... you are suggesting that I pour the output of the Carbon reactor into the 4th: return pump chamber?

I just want to be sure I'm providing the best water back to the tank.

Thanks for the comments.
