I have a GFO reactor and it's greatly reduced flow rate after around 2 weeks. Around how long should it last before clogging up?

This will eventually happen over time. I try to ensure that there's a bit of a gap in my GFO reactor so that it can tumble just a bit in the top 1" or so that there's at least some water flow that continues to pass through.

To tell if your GFO needs changing measure the effluent ( out flow ) phosphate & compare it to tank water.
When both values are close it's time for a change.
As far as clogging: the material must tumble slowly or it can harden into a brick.

Nice trick! Thank
