Hey guys! So I’ve been keeping a reef tank for about 4 years now. (Through college) and now that I’ve got some more time on my hands am looking in to things that I might do better in my hobby! The next thing on my list is incorporating GFO into my filtration system. I would really prefer not to add any new equipment just for the sake of saving space and not hanging anything else off the tank(I don’t have a sump). I’ve read online that people have success using GFO in their aquaclear filters by floating it in a fine mesh bag. Does anyone have any ideas on what media bags would be suitable? I don’t have phosphate problems but preventative maintenance is always the way to go with these things I’ve found!

I personally like to tumble GFO in it's own reactor:

But... Seachem's "The Bag" or Red Sea's / 225 micron nylon mesh filter sock maybe the right call, for your route.

Thank you so much! I know it’s always best to use proper equipment but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes!
