Gfo in display tank will it harm corals or fish

a bag of gfo ripped when i was taking it out of my tank and blew everywhere inside display section. Im tearing tank down sat. To relocate it. Will it be ok till then ?

It can annoy some clams, even it's dust can. I've had non explained clam deaths when I was doing heavy GFO.
 
Yes i do. Zoas, acan, hammer, goni. It was probably about 3 table spoons that got out into tank. Its a 40 gal

I had my reactor go blitz once and basically emptied it's self into my sump.
 
There would be nothing wrong "IF" you need it. Be VERY careful not to strip your tank of nutrients too quick, start off with a low amount, @1/2 of recommended amount, and test frequently to dial it in. It needs to tumble some but not so much that the granules will breakup and get in your tank. The surface should look like a simmering boil on top. JME
 
Hi,Salty1962, were you going in charlotte for fish supplies. slimm, had that happen to me, got lucky and it moved around and got it out with a extra canister filter.

I buy some pf my supplies from Nemo's in Matthews, the rest online.
