Gfo melting

I have a new Specterpure dual reactor and It seems as though my gfo Is dissolving. I have flow turned down to a trickle but It stopping up screens and possibly getting Into tank. I have contacted vendor where I bought the gfo and they tell me It Is all the same and all gfo comes from the same source. Could this be a bad batch of gfo or Is something else wrong?

I wouldn't assume it is all the same, since others may be getting into the business, but the particles breaking up by too much motion may be a concern.
